Standing Order Procedures

The following is our district's policy regarding the Standing Order procedure involving transcripts:

Upon the filing of a case, or during any period in which a standing order does not exist, a firm may request a particular transcriber to enter a standing order in a case.  This requires the transcriber to complete transcripts for any hearing held in that case for 14 days starting on the day of the request.  Commonly, a standing order is renewed automatically by a transcriber, unless a firm requests that they cancel the order.  The firm reserves the right to cancel a standing order at any time.  If a dispute involving a request arises based on timing of requests, the first request received in our specified email inbox will assume the standing order, provided one does not exist in the case.  Please contact Brandon McCarthy at brandon_mccarthy@deb.uscourts.gov or (302)252-2906 with any questions regarding this procedure.
