Notice of Electronic Filing
Upon completion of electronically filing a document, the Notice of Electronic Filing will appear. The Notice of Electronic Filing is the verification that a filing has been sent electronically to the court’s database. It certifies that the filing is now an official court document.
Clicking on the case number hyperlink in the Notice of Electronic Filing will take you to the PACER login screen. After login, the docket report for this case will be displayed.
Clicking on the document number hyperlink in the Notice of Electronic Filing will take you to the PACER login screen. After login, the PDF image document just filed will be displayed.
Print a copy of this notice by clicking the browser [Print] button.
To save a copy of this notice, click [File] on the browser menu.
Further access to the Notice of Electronic Filing is available though the docket report. On the docket, a "silver bullet" appears next to the document number of the event on the docket report. Clicking on this bullet will display a copy of this notice. Users will be presented with a PACER login screen upon clicking on the bullet.
In cases in which you are associated or in which you have designated you would like to receive electronic notification, you will receive an e-mail of the Notice of Electronic Filing for each document filed in a case. From this e-mail, you may view the filed documents once without charge. For more information on e-mail notifications, access the section in this manual titled E-mail Notification.
