Primary E-Mail Address: Confirm that the primary e-mail address is correct
Determine where you would like to have the e-mail notifications sent:
to my primary
e-mail address:
IMPORTANT: To activate electronic notification, and receive your
free look at newly filed documents, you must check this box. Each
attorney of record in a case will receive an e-mail message containing a
hyperlink to a document that has been filed. One free copy is available to
each attorney of record and any secondary address listed under the e-mail
information screen (see below for more information on adding additional
addresses). The hyperlink to access the document will expire after the
earlier of these two events: the first use or 15 days. Any time that same
hyperlink is accessed after it has expired, the user will be asked for a PACER
login and will be charged to view the document. All users are advised to
print or save the document during the initial viewing period in order to avoid
future charges. It may be prudent to establish a separate e-mail account
for CM/ECF activity from your routine e-mail correspondence.
to these additional
addresses:
You may have notices sent to other e-mail addresses besides your primary e-mail
address by checking this box and listing additional e-mail addresses (paralegals
or other staff may want to share this notification activity). When entering
multiple e-mail addresses, separate each address with a semi-colon. All
secondary addresses receive the free look as described in the above paragraph.
There is a field-size limit for the number of secondary addresses that can be
entered, so the number of e-mail addresses you can enter will vary based on the
length of the address (i.e. one office may be able to add 5 secondary addresses
based on the length of their e-mail addresses, another may be able to add 6).
Determine which cases you would like to receive e-mail notifications
Send notices in cases in which I am involved: Checking this box will automatically inform you when any filing has been submitted in a case where you are a participant.
Send notices in these additional cases: You do not have to be a participant in a case to receive notification of activity. You can elect to be notified of activity in cases you have an interest in, but in which you are not a party to the case. If you would like to receive e-mail notification in additional cases, click this box, and click inside the text box to enter additional case numbers. Use the format yy-nnnn (ex. 01-1234). If you elect to receive notices for cases in which you are not an attorney/trustee of record, you will be charged for accessing the documents (no free look).
Determine how you would like to receive e-mail notifications
Send a notice for each filing: Checking this box means you will receive e-mail notices when activity occurs throughout the day to the account(s) specified above. The subject line of the e-mail will describe the type of filing and the case number.
Send a Daily Summary Report: A summary report includes the case numbers and titles of cases in which activity occurred for that day. The text of the summary e-mail notification will display the docket event and the document number (including the hyperlink)
NOTE: you cannot elect to receive both separate notices and the summary report
Determine how you would like to have the e-mail notifications formatted (Format Notices)
html format for Netscape or ISP e-mail service: The html format will include a hyperlink to the pleading or claim
text format for cc:Mail, Groupwise, other e-mail service: Text format will feature the URL of the PDF document which can be copied and pasted into the location bar or your browser.
