Application for Compensation

Trustees and Professionals Employed by the Trustee

When filing an Application for Compensation with the Court, trustees and those professionals employed by the trustee as referred to in F.R.Bankr.P. 2013 (see below), must use the Compensation - Application (Trustee) event from the Bankruptcy > Motions/Applications menu in CM/ECF. This includes attorneys employed by the trustee. This event will capture the fee and expense amounts requested for the Courtís public record of fees.

If filing an Interim or Final application, upon receiving the sample docket text near the end of filing, use the drop-down box to select "Interim" or "Final".

Important Note: do NOT include any Application for Compensation as part of another filing (i.e. with a Final Report). Any Application for Compensation must be filed as a separate entry.

All Other Attorneys

All other attorneys filing an Application for Compensation with the Court must use the Compensation - Application (Attorney) event from the Bankruptcy > Motions/Applications menu in CM/ECF. This event will NOT capture the fee and expense amounts requested for the Courtís public record of fees. Fee and expense amounts are only required to be captured for the Trustee and professionals employed by the Trustee - not other attorneys. It is only necessary to include the amounts requested in the PDF of the document you are filing - it is not required in the docket text.

If filing an Interim or Final application, upon receiving the sample docket text near the end of filing, use the drop-down box to select "Interim" or "Final".

Important Note: if you are an attorney employed by the trustee, you must use the events designated "(Trustee)" - Do NOT use the "(Attorney)" events!
