NextGen Information

NextGen is coming February 12, 2021!

Due to the upcoming migration to NextGen, CM/ECF WILL BE UNAVAILABLE FOR FOUR DAYS - FROM  7 am  FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2021  THROUGH 8 am TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16,  2021. If you need to file a document with the Court during those FOUR DAYS, bring the documents to the courthouse located at 824 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE 19801. Please use the time clock to stamp the documents with a filing date and place them in the Court's drop box located in the first floor lobby. The documents will be docketed once CM/ECF is available.

NextGen is the culmination of a multi-year project headed by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts to provide for the current and future filing and case management needs of all CM/ECF users.  The NextGen system will provide users with several benefits, including the ability to maintain a single login and password for electronic filing and PACER access in all federal courts (Bankruptcy, District and Appellate).  This central sign-on feature allows access to all courts in which you have permission to file.

In order to prepare for NextGen, you must complete a few preliminary steps.

Follow the steps in the section below to prepare your account for the transition to NextGen.

Note: You will continue to use your CM/ECF login and password to electronically file in CM/ECF courts, which have not completed the transition to NextGen.  To see a list of the courts currently using NextGen CM/ECF, click here.  Eventually, NextGen CM/ECF will be instituted in all federal courts (bankruptcy, district, and appellate).
