The Hon. Thomas L. Ambro Fellowship Criteria for Selection of Summer Scholarship Recipient
 
 
 
The Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court is awarding a $6,000 stipend to a student who will have completed their first or second year of law school for a summer internship with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The candidate must be available for an eight-week internship rotating among four of the Judges of the Delaware Bankruptcy Court beginning June 2023.
 
The criteria for the successful candidate should include:
 
  1. an interest in practicing law in Delaware;
  2. a sense of ethics and high moral character;
  3. intelligence, honesty and a willingness to work hard;
  4. a pleasant personality and ability to work independently or as part of a team; and
  5. an interest in commercial or bankruptcy law.

 

DELAWARE BANKRUPTCY COURT REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate will be selected provisionally pending the results of a background check. All persons working at the Bankruptcy Court are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination will be required.

The Judges of the Delaware Bankruptcy Court will select the successful candidate in their sole discretion. Virtual interviews will be conducted the week of March 27, 2023. The recipient will be notified by April 5, 2023. Half of the stipend will be paid to the recipient at the start of the fellowship and the remainder will be paid at the end of the fellowship.
