*Important Note Regarding Motions for Leave to Appeal:  There is a $298 fee due for filing a Notice of Appeal, which will be charged upon e-filing.  When filing a Motion for Leave to Appeal, only $5 of the fee is required at the time of filing.  If filing such motion, please contact the Court at helpde@deb.uscourts.gov or 302-252-2900 to make alternate payment arrangements prior to filing or before making payment.  NO REFUNDS will be issued for payments made in error.  If the Court grants the Motion for Leave to Appeal, the remainder of the fee ($157) must be immediately submitted to the Clerk's Office.
** The Court must collect this fee unless the reopening is to correct an administrative error or to file an action related to the discharge.  The phrase "to correct and administrative error" does not include errors by the debtor, the debtor's attorney or the trustee.
*** The fee for requesting a direct appeal or a direct cross-appeal from a bankruptcy court decision to the Court of Appeals is $298.  If the Court of Appeals authorizes the direct appeal and additional fee of $157 must be immediately submitted to the Clerk's Office.
